Your driver will pick you up directly from your hotel lobby or designated accommodation. Settle into a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle as we set off for the tour.

Your driver collects you from your hotel at a time you choose. The route runs east out of the city and across the Absheron Peninsula — past oil fields, salt lakes and coastal villages, with the Caspian appearing and disappearing beside the road. The drive out to the far tip takes roughly an hour to an hour and a half depending on traffic.

Absheron National Park was established in 2005 on the narrow spit at the eastern end of the peninsula, and it protects a landscape found almost nowhere else in the country: shifting sand dunes, salt-tolerant scrub and a long, undeveloped shoreline. The reserve is best known for its herd of goitered gazelles, the shy desert antelope that once ranged across the whole region, along with golden jackals, foxes and badgers. In winter, Caspian seals — the only marine mammal in the sea and an endangered species — gather offshore and can sometimes be seen from the shore.
The park is also a stop on a major migratory route, so birdlife is strong through spring and autumn: waterfowl, waders and gulls along the coastal edge. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but the landscape alone justifies the drive.

Shahdili Cape is the easternmost point of mainland Azerbaijan — a low sand spit reaching out into the Caspian, with water on three sides and nothing built on it. There is a lighthouse at the end and very little else. This is the stop people remember: wide sky, wind off the sea, and a sense of being at the edge of something. You have free time here to walk the beach and take photographs.

On the way back there is a short stop at Zira Eco Park, a landscaped park near the village of Zira with planted greenery, walking paths and shaded seating — a green contrast to the dunes and a comfortable place to break the return drive.

After completing the tour, your driver will comfortably transfer you back to your hotel or drop you off at your preferred central location in the city.
